Growing up when dinner-time came around we didn't just fend for ourselves and eat. We came together and would sit down at the table together, a tradition we still do to this day. However, now on my own I find myself longing for the home-cooked meals (and family memories) from the dinner table. My mom is always a cooking inspiration for me, and so why not share some of our delicious recipes with others? Food should be shared, not horded!

Baked Breaded Porkchops
As I mentioned before, growing up in a farm area pork was a big thing there. However, even before moving to Ohio, a family recipe that generally everyone enjoyed was baked and breaded pork chops! Just the smell of them cooking is enough to make my stomach start to growl, even if I didn't think I was originally that hungry. And, per usual, my mom always had a quick and simple recipe that made beautiful pork chops that were quite delicious! So, of course I had to call her up and get the recipe! So here I will present to you baked and breaded pork chops with mashed potatoes and glazed apples! Sorry that the picture quality isn't up to par, again it's taken from my webcam haha.

Two for One: Glazed Apples and Glazed Carrots
As I'd posted in my Meatballs and Spaghetti Dinner post, the picture at the beginning illustrates my dinner of meatballs and spaghetti, tomato cucumber salad, and a side of glazed apples. Growing up I always knew we were going to have a delicious side dish when I could smell the cinnamon and apples cooking in the kitchen. Listening to the sizzle of the juices as the apples became coated in the sweetness always made my mouth water. Fruit is good by itself, but add a light glaze to it and cook it in a pan until its warmed through and coated in the glaze...just something about it is amazing! My mom likes to make pan sauces for a lot of different dishes.
